-Our primary ball is the Wilson OPTX Beach Volleyball

-Athletes 13-18 years old are eligible to register for juniors divisions.

-Athletes 15+ years old are eligible to register for adult divisions.

*Age exceptions can be made if cleared with tournament directors prior to registration.

-We will play rally scoring

-A block does NOT count as a touch

-Nothing open hand over the net will be considered legal (no matter the intentions - set or attack). In AA divisions, pushes over the net are accepted if they have clean contact and shoulders are square with the trajectory of the ball.

-No open hand receive on serve receive. Receiving a hard-driven ball with open hands will be considered legal.

-We will play on a grass full court with no antennas (30ft x 30ft)

-Let serves will not be legal.

- Switch on 7’s in games to 21, switch on 5’s in games to 15

-No substitutions or replacements will be permitted - in the case of an injury, substitutions may be permitted at the discretion of the tournament director(s)

-Any purposeful forfeitures to improve playoff standing/rankings will not be permitted.

-All RoVo tournaments will start ON TIME. Due to limited timing for events, points will be deducted for teams who start later than scheduled. Each minute late will result in one point for the other team. If both teams are starting late, then points will be awarded to both teams. This includes the first game of the day starting right at 9am, and in between games if teams take longer than the allotted 10 minute warm-up window.
