RoVo Junior Girls

2026-2027 TRYOUT INFORMATION:

Tryouts will be Sunday, September 6th and Sunday, September 13th at Eastern Mennonite School.

REGISTER FOR GIRLS TRYOUTS HERE

12U-14U Girls - 4:00-6:00pm

15U-18U Girls - 6:00-8:00pm

All athletes must complete the registration form and pay $25 to try out. If your athlete makes a team, the $25 tryout fee will go toward their club dues for the season. Tryout fees are due upon checking in, and they should be in the form of cash or a check made out to Rocktown Volleyball Club.

There is no additional cost to attend both days of tryouts. We encourage athletes to come to both days of tryouts if possible to give our coaches more time to see them play.

The doors will open 30 minutes before your tryout session begins. Please arrive early to check in and warm up before your tryout.

RoVo Junior Girls Information:

Christianne and Dallas Butler started RoVo Juniors two years ago (2024-2025 season) to provide more opportunities for local athletes to play volleyball. Our first season had 4 girls teams (13U, 14U, 16U, and 17U), and our second season had 7 travel teams (13U, 14U, 15U Blue, 15U Black, 16U, and 18U girls, and 18U Boys). We look forward to continuing to grow to provide spaces for more athletes to play volleyball throughout the winter and spring.

PRACTICE: Each team practices twice per week (one week night and one weekend practice) starting in mid-November and going through April. Practices are held at local public and private schools in Rockingham County, Augusta County, and Harrisonburg City. Exact locations vary per team.

COMPETITION: We send all of our teams to the same tournaments to ease family travel and provide more of a “club” feel for the players. Each team will attend 6 multi-day tournaments throughout the competition season (December-April) and play in levels that are competitive for each team. Tournaments will be within a 5 hour radius of Harrisonburg, VA.

COACHING: At RoVo Juniors, we believe that club volleyball is about skill development and growth, and we hire qualified coaches who will help our athletes get better. See our coaching staff or apply to coach HERE.

RoVo Junior Boys

Tryouts will be Sunday, September 20 and Sunday, September 27 at Eastern Mennonite School. There is no cost to attend tryouts for our RoVo Junior Boys travel program.

RoVo Junior Boys Information

In previous years, we’ve been able to provide opportunities for boys to play on developmental volleyball teams, focusing on practices and local competitions. Last year, we were able to start our first boys travel team (18U), and they competed in 5 travel tournaments. We hope to continue growing the boys volleyball program by including two travel teams if possible.
